inclusive Ongoing Classes for disabled and NON-Disabled Adults

These classes are ongoing and unstructured with students working on personal projects at their own pace. The studio is fully equipped with all the materials and tools you might require, including 8 wheels.

If you have any specific support needs, please do inform us prior to attending your taster class. Personal carers are invited to join the class for those who need additional assistance.

The cost per 2.5 hour class is £15 for disabled adults and £20 for non-disabled adults . If you are interested, you are welcome to come for a £15/£20 ‘taster session’. Should you then wish to continue, we request that you pay for the next term of classes upfront. We do also offer a further subsidised discretionary class fee for those facing financial hardship.

These classes are subsidised by the sales of ceramics, our fundraising concerts, the generosity of private donations and grants from trusts and foundations. Should you wish to make a donation so that more people can attend these classes, you can do so here.

To request a place in one of our classes, please fill in our contact form or use the button below.

Our studio provides a calming and supportive environment, with its warm and friendly atmosphere, in which creativity may be explored and developed.

We run mixed-ability pottery classes, primarily for disabled adults on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays. However, as our classes are inclusive, all adults are welcome. There is a morning class from 10:30am - 1pm and an afternoon class from 2pm - 4:30pm. They take place at Maxability’s studio in the Flightways Resource Centre, NW9 5UX.

Weekend Workshops

Maxability are running a number of one-off pottery workshops over the next few months where you can either learn to throw on the wheel, repair pottery using the Kintsugi technique or make your own plant pot, mug or bowl using different pottery techniques.

These workshops are only £40+ per person all-inclusive for a 2.5-hour class with one of our experienced tutors. The venue is at our lovely studio near Colindale in the Flightways Centre, NW9 5UX. After the class, your pottery will be fired and ready for collection in 3-4 weeks. The plant pot you make will even come with a free house plant!

These workshops take place on a Sunday morning and afternoon and anyone from the community, disabled and/or non-disabled is welcome!
