  • 21 hours per week during full operation
  • £15.50 per hour (£28k full-time salary equivalent)
  • To start ASAP. Initial contract to 31 December 2020 with scope to extend.

We are looking for an experienced co-ordinator to take charge of running the day-today operations of our charity and programme of ceramics classes. You may be a seasoned project co-ordinator, operational manager or senior administrator in a small organisation or department ready for a new challenge.

A freelance engagement to begin with, there is potential for employment in the longer term.

Your tasks will include administration, supporting the smooth running of all classes and the maintenance of the studio, promoting our programme, looking after all workers and volunteers, ensuring safeguarding and Health & Safety, overseeing finance administration and working with the Board of Trustees and tutor team on planning our programme.

To date, the running of the organisation and day-to-day management have been handled by the trustees themselves with the help of a regular volunteer. This role therefore offers the opportunity to set up professional management to take Maxability to the next level. It offers plenty of scope for innovation and development.

Significant project management experience, knowledge of administration and finance administration, strong communication skills and some experience of managing others are essential, as is an active interest in community-based work and supporting people with additional needs.
